THE PROCESS OF EYE DONATION

One eye donor can restore sight to two blind persons.


This must occur within 4 to 6 hours of death. Even if you have undergone an eye operation, you can still donate your eyes.The eye donation process is completed in about 20 minutes.

Some Important Points to remember are:

  • Switch off the fans immediately after death (AC can be used)..
  • Put a pillow under the head to elevate it.
  • Put a wet cloth or cotton on the eyes.
